"When I first went to trials for CAFC I was unaware of what a huge impact the club would have on my time at York. It has so far been such a great uni experience and I wouldn’t change anything. I have played for the 2s, 3s and 4s and been on the committee last year making sure I was involved with everything the club was doing. Becoming President is a way of me giving back for all the great times the club has given me and ensuring that many more players enjoy football in York as much as I do."
"The goals that I want the club to achieve in this coming year are based around team success of course, I will do everything that I can to ensure all 4 teams have the best chance of winning their leagues, however I also want to make sure that the club remains an open inviting place for new players of all ability to come and join in and have a laugh. I think that it’s vital that team spirit is built and the chemistry between players on and off the pitch is apparent as wanting to play for the club and the players around you will win us football games."

"I joined CAFC in my first week at uni because I liked football and thought it would be good fun and exercise. But the club has been much more. There’s a huge team spirit at the club and it’s become one of the main parts of my uni experience. I’ve loved every moment of playing for the club and attending all the various socials. As Vice-President I hope to pass on this team spirit to new students and get as many involved as possible."

Barney started for the 1s straight out of the trials and hasn't looked back since. He had big boots to fill when taking over from ex-captain and Constantine legend Tom Guffick, but has enjoyed every moment as captain and has big plans for his final year at the club.
"My goal for the 1s is to win the Premier Division in term 2 and to compete in Roses 2021. Both seem very distant while sitting in Division 1 at the start of term 1, but relegation has seemed to put everything into perspective and has provided a strong learning curve for the side and myself. We continue to build and learn and hopefully will fall into place by my final term at the university!"

Aaron Price has his sights on taking the 2s to back-to-back promotions for the first time. The pressure is on for the derby against recently-relegated 1s where Aaron's team will be fully tested in front of a crowd.
"With the recent promotion of the 2s from a division we admittedly shouldn't have been in sees us on a new momentum to propel us further for the future. Our goal of course would be promotion, it's what every team wants, but top 3 would make me more than satisfied and could only ever make me proud of the boys."

"I’ve been a part of the 4s since I joined university, starting near enough every game. I’ve been through highs and lows with the squad but I have enjoyed every moment. Taking over from Ed is going to be big boots to fill as he captained the side to an unbeaten season getting us promoted. I plan on continuing where we left of from and establishing ourselves in this new league. We have the potential to push for promotion and I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t be aiming for this. I hope we can continue to play our football, enjoy every moment and show what the 4s are about!"

"This club has been a huge part of life at university. The social nights have been a great way to create a strong bond within the club. As Social Secretary, I want to make all members feel welcome and allow them to get involved in the social aspect of university life. For me, it's one of the most important and memorable parts of university. This year I hope, with Alex, to bring back some of the best socials from last year - as well as introducing new socials for the club to enjoy."

This club helped me settle straight into uni life, making many mates throughout all 4 of the teams and helped make my uni experience enjoyable. It was a shame last year that we couldn’t finish the season with a tour so this year it’s my aim to make it a good tour for the CAFC lads.
